Being dyslexic can be interesting

I think I know how I got so far in life with my writing even though I'm dyslexic. I think my brain has learned to compensate in many cases.

Oscar Meyer has an ad campaign, "Scramble Your Morning". The first time I read it I thought it was funny that hey deliberately misspelled Morning. (No word in the English language starts with "mro" so that was obvious.) But do you know it wasn't until the third or fourth time I read that ad that I realized al three words are misspelled?

Another humorous example is a weather app I have on my phone. They always gave you (they've since redesigned the app) a quick preview of the next few days. One day the preview simply said, "The new bride is looking." I thought, "OK, that's an incomplete sentence. The new bride is looking what? And what does that have to do with the weather?" I was going to contact them about the error but wanted to make sure I got the wording correct. I reread it. This time it said, "The new week is looking bright." Much better lol.

So dyslexia isn't simply about transposing letters and numbers. There's more to it than that.
